Welcome to a Fresh New Site

December 12th, 2008 by fred

Welcome to the new Dresden Files RPG website!

Here at the tail end of 2008, we’ve decided to give dresdenfilesrpg.com a brand-new look — and a much, much overdue change of software over to WordPress, which frankly will make the job of posting blog updates much easier on us.

Take a look around — we’ve imported all of the old posts from the original site, and slapped tags on them to make them all easier to find (we’re particularly happy that it’s now easier to find our series of posts on the Laws of Magic.  Use the menu above to get the skinny on everything Dresden Files, or explore the archives and tags through the links on the right.

Further down on the right, you’ll also find syndications of a few blogs over on Livejournal where the discussion of the Dresden Files RPG is ongoing.  Check ‘em out!

But We Know What You’re Wondering

For a perspective on the eternal question of “when is it coming out?” as well as a picture of how far we’ve come, check out our schedule page.  Bits and pieces of the story of how this game is coming together have been told all over, and it’s on this page that we’re collecting the bulk of it.  If you haven’t heard about how this all came about, give it a read!

There’s More To Come

We’ll be posting soon with a big link round-up of the various blogs and playtest reports from our second alpha playtesting round, which concluded around Thanksgiving.  And as we move into 2009, we’ll be posting all sorts of peeks into the game.  Stay tuned!

Hey, it’s good to see news and get reminded that this is coming when it’s ready. I’ll snag it when pre-orders open! On the plus side for me, in the interim I’ve had a chance to get more into both Fate 3.0 and Dresden Files, so that I’ll be really psyched when the RPG is released!

I love the new look and feel of the site. It is so much cleaner and really is a nice touch.

I love this web site and I have bookmarked the Twitter web page too.
I glad you all are waiting until you feel like the game you publish will
be great. So far I think all of Jim Butcher’s stuff has been great.
I do my best to buy as much of Jim Butcher’s stuff as I can.
I know about Murphy’s law. I just have to have the money to buy
this game when it is finally out!
